NOTHING ANYMORE FOR KIDS!! I wouldn’t bother again.
This review is based on what’s to offer for children. in short NOTHING anymore.
I visited here over. A year ago with my 2y/o it was so much fun she really enjoyed the animals and tunnels discovery area WHICH HAS NOW BEEN SHUT DOWN!!
NO MORE PLAY AREA!
they also HAD a small kids area where they could play, read books and some other activities. I was so sad to hear this whole area had been turned into more gallery space and a cafe. LIKE LEICESTER NEEDS ANOTHER CAFE!!
SO DISAPPOINTED WE WENT RECENTLY AND IT WAS SUCH A LET DOWN we spent less than half an hour there and kids were uninterested. what are the managers thinking surely their main clientele is mums with children / school children and if you can’t inspire the younger generation to visit then I think thats really sad. Yes there are some dinosaurs. But nothing interactive to engage with the children.
What a shame!
This could’ve been a really good opportunity to draw in more people and attract more parents and kids but a cafe is not going to do that.

Great range of things to see here - local history, and bits on Egypt and dinosaurs too. Bound to be some bits of interest for everyone here and free to enter, not too busy even on weekends. Well worth a look.

Cafe offers a machine coffee, no atmosphere
As for the museum where is our national history of Leicester, it all revolves around foreign cultures except our own. So no national pride, patriotism or our countries foundations. Dissapointing indeed. Never agsin
